Finally, pure plant-based unrefined material at your fingertips ! Organic cosmetic companies only use pure plant-based unrefined material. The quality and the effectiveness of a product depends on the performance of its exicpients (the type of oils used), being, as they are, 80% the product’s base. The more traditional cosmetic industries frequently use mineral oils. However, they are generally very low quality oils, such as paraffins - derived from oil – which prevent the skin from breathing and give it a false sense of pleasure and softness.

Pure plant-based oils, however, are in total harmony with the skin and with the entire body ! At the Huiles & Baumes online store it is completely possible to find 100% natural and 100% active products. In addition, the pure plant-based oils used as emollients are completely active ingredients and the organic cosmetic companies are now using them much more frequently.

By definition, the organic skin care product does not contain any potentially dangerous or cancerous ingredients, perfumes, synthetic dies, silicones, glycols, and other parabens (preservatives)… all of which are prohibited by Ecocert !

These natural products not only protect and preserve the environment by supporting organic agriculture, without manure, pesticides or other pollutants, but these ingredients are also biodegradable and are not harmful to the environment. Huiles & Baumes’ products do not contain silicone nor are they a result of petrochemistry... Of course, all packaging is also environmentally friendly and is recyclable.

ECOCERT : COMPANY GUARANTOR         

In order to be certified by Ecocert (an independent organic certification agency approved by French authorities), companies and their products are subjected to much higher standards than those of conventional cosmetic companies. It is this standard of quality that makes it possible to guarantee a complete respect for the consumer, for the value of all natural, ecological, and organic substances, and a real respect for the environment throughout the entire production process.

Huiles & Baumes and its complete cosmetic line are certified by Ecocert and Cosmebio. The logos of both of these organizations are reproduced on all Huiles & Baumes packaging, requiring all products to comply with these standards :
- 95% minimum of all ingredients have a natural origin,
- 10% minimum of all ingredients are produced by organic farming,
- 95% minimum of all plant-based ingredients are produced by organic farming.

None of our products have been tested on animals and do not contain :
- Parabens, standard PEG emulsifiers,
- Mineral oils coming from petrochemistry,
- Silicone, carbomer gel,
- Phenoxyethanol preservatives,
- Synthetic perfumes,
- Unauthorized dies and colorants,
- Propylene glycol solvents.

Ecocert and Cosmebio certifications are recognized in Europe, the United States and Japan and in agreement with the following certified organizations : The British "Soil Association", the German "BDIH" (Bundesverband Deutscher Industrie und Handelsunternehmen) and the Italian "AIAB" (Associazione Italiana per Agricoltura Biologica).
